SUMMARY:QMCA Networking Event 29 July 2026 - Demolition\, Remediation and Recycling
DESCRIPTION:Demolition\, Remediation and Recycling Breakfast \nAs Queensland’s major infrastructure pipeline increasingly shifts towards complex brownfield projects\, demolition\, remediation and resource recovery have become critical to successful project delivery. Join the Queensland Major Contractors Association and Perfect Contracting for a timely industry breakfast exploring the latest developments in demolition practices\, contaminated land remediation\, recycling and the sustainable reuse of materials across major infrastructure projects. Hear from leading industry experts as they discuss how the sector is evolving to meet growing environmental expectations\, changing regulations and the increasing complexity of delivering projects in constrained and previously developed environments. The program will feature keynote presentations followed by an interactive panel discussion covering topics including: \n\nThe Qld Government’s new recycling strategy and specific focus for the construction industry\nThe changing role of demolition in modern infrastructure delivery\nManaging contamination and remediation on major projects\nRecycling\, recovery and responsible disposal of construction materials\nInnovative uses of recycled materials to improve sustainability outcomes\nEmerging technologies\, techniques and industry best practice\n\nWhether you are a contractor\, subcontractor\, consultant\, supplier or specialist service provider\, this breakfast will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping Queensland’s infrastructure sector. \nThis event is ideal for organisations looking to stay ahead of evolving project requirements\, strengthen their understanding of current industry practices and connect with professionals delivering some of the state’s most significant infrastructure projects. \nJoin us for an informative morning of industry insights\, practical discussion and valuable networking with leaders from across Queensland’s construction sector. \nEvent Partner \nPerfect Contracting provides ISO certified\, unrestricted demolition\, decommissioning and remediation services across Australia. Our principal contractor clients come to us because we solve the complex front end technical challenges that negatively impact project schedules\, costs\, and delivery. \nImplementing a proven approach to early contractor involvement (ECI)\, we help project owners reduce risks and costs arising from contamination\, poorly scoped methodology\, hazmat removal\, and non-compliance with regulations. \nFor over fifteen years\, we‘ve been a proud partner to the construction sector in Australia\, specialising in high risk\, technically complex projects. We thrive in environments that demand innovation\, resourcefulness\, and intelligent engineering solutions and are committed to project success for our clients and communities in which we work. With major infrastructure and Olympics projects primed for delivery over the coming decade\, our team is ready to work with QMCA members to deliver safely\, successfully\, and sustainably.
