QMCA is today delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists in the 2018 QMCA Innovation and Excellence Awards in the categories of Design Consultant, Contractor and Subcontractor.
OMCA CEO, Jon Davies, congratulated the shortlisted finalists “The quality and standard of entries speaks volumes for the creative and innovative ways in which every designer, contractor and subcontractor is pushing boundaries in Queensland to deliver outstanding project solutions.”

- Fulton Hogan – Eton Range Realignment
- Seymour Whyte – Port Drive Upgrade, Port of Brisbane
Design Consultants Award
- SMEC – Gateway Upgrade Project North Design
- Jacobs – Amrun Chith Export Facility
- Arup – Long span Super-I Girder
Subcontractors Award
- Pumps United – New Parallel Runway, Brisbane Airport
- Patriot Environmental Management – Real time pre-start for plant and equipment
- Commercial Marine Group – Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade Sewage Outflow Pipe
- Piling & Civil Australia – Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade Micro Piling
Winners will be announced on Friday 5th October at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Tickets to the Awards gala are selling fast and all entrants are encouraged to book their place as soon as possible. Hosted by Dr Karl Kruzelnicki and featuring a keynote by renowned futurist Michael McQueen, over 400 of industry leaders will be in attendance, making this celebration the must attend event for 2018.
