The Board of Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) today announced the appointment of Andrew Chapman as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Chapman has an impressive track record of achievement in the engineering and construction sector, having gained more than 20 years’ experience working for major contractors and consultants; and as Engineers Australia, QLD past-President and Infrastructure Association of Queensland Inc (IAQ) Board Member.
QMCA Chair John Kirkwood welcomed Andrew to QMCA and looks forward to the leadership that he will bring to the association.
“Andrew is a fantastic addition to QMCA. Having worked for major contractors such as Thiess, Leighton and Transfield Services, as well as design consultants such as GHD, means that Andrew is uniquely positioned to have a complete perspective of our sector. He understands our industry and will play a vital part in delivering QCMA’s ongoing strategic goals.”

Mr Chapman expressed delight at his appointment and is looking forward to the challenges associated with the role.

Mr Chapman commenced his role on 3 August 2020.
