Significant progress has been achieved under his leadership, with works delivered safely in an environmentally sensitive, spatially constrained wetland corridor.
Steven leads a team of junior engineers, ensuring effective planning and communication. He is a trusted member of the team and his commitment to mentoring contributes to the development of the next generation of engineers.

Simon Albery brings more than 25 years’ experience to his role as Group Manager Quality and Completions at CPB Contractors. He has unified professionals across the business to shape CPB’s Quality and Completions function, applying a structured change‑management approach to deliver a roadmap with near‑100% implementation.
Simon fosters a supportive team culture through transparent communication and strong personal relationships. A key contributor to the construction community, Simon is an advocate for a safer, diverse and more sustainable industry.
Through his leadership and advocacy, he elevates the construction industry and its long-term sustainability.
Jake Grant
SEE Civil
Jake Grant is a Senior Project Manager at SEE Civil, recognised for his leadership, innovation, and commitment to people and industry excellence.
Over the past year, he has led multidisciplinary teams on the Mount Lindesay Highway Upgrade and the Loganlea Road Upgrade, where he developed an alternative traffic management solution that enabled the safe progression of works without extensive temporary works or additional construction stages.
Dedicated to industry reform, Jake collaborated with TMR and provided practical solutions to major earthworks challenges. He is committed to long-term industry sustainability across Queensland.
Shaneel Nyawo
Fulton Hogan
Shaneel Nyawo is a Senior Project Engineer at Fulton Hogan with more than ten years’ experience delivering major road and rail infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand.
He led a 2.5-kilometre section of the Coomera Connector Stage One Central project and drove the innovative site-wide introduction of Mass Soil Mixing, as a permanent works ground improvement solution.
Shaneel also developed an AI-driven tool that helps engineers find critical information quickly.
Known for his calm, inclusive communication, he mentors emerging talent, champions mental wellbeing, and advocates for community and industry development.
Blake Miles
Seymour Whyte
Blake Miles is an Area Manager at Seymour Whyte with 14 years’ experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales.
Responsible for the delivery of civil works on the Pacific Motorway Upgrade – Palm Beach to Tugun, Blake refined traffic staging, aligning multi-disciplinary teams under a shared plan, to transform a high-pressure challenge into a model for project delivery.
Known for turning complex challenges into actionable strategies, Blake builds high-performing teams and drives productivity, delivering measurable outcomes while advancing industry best practice.
