QMCA membership sparks a business relationship

Two of QMCA’s associate members have collaborated recently to bring a new level of innovation to onsite electrical compliance and safety. After meeting at a QMCA event, a chance discussion between Kurt Alexander of QuickSafety and Cahn Madigan of Pensar has turned into a mutually beneficial business relationship.

Kurt heads up QuickSafety, a digital start-up that enables electricians to undertake Electrical Compliance Inspection & Testing on site and quickly and easily provide complete transparency, validation and storage of this information via their mobile application. Pensar’s Power division immediately saw the opportunity to help bring new technology into play that would help with their onsite safety, efficiency and accuracy of record keeping, and following initial discussions a trial of QuickSafety has been rolled out on projects in South East Queensland.

Kurt Alexander of QuickSafety is delighted to have teamed up with a major organisation “As a start-up the best validation of our idea is that people want to work with us, use our services and immediately see the benefit in their organisation. Thanks to QMCA I have been able to commence a professional relationship with Pensar and secure a partnership with a forward-thinking organisation who wants their people and operations to have access to technologies that removes risk and makes their lives easier and safer.”

Cahn Madigan of Pensar welcomed the innovation into their organisation “At Pensar, we always want to try and embrace new ways of working and new technologies. QuickSafey is a solution to several challenges that have always been part and parcel of the industry. Through QuickSafety we are able to eliminate errors in the field by electricians, provide transparency on each job to meet Australian Standards, ensure that we meet all the State and Federal Electrical compliance requirements and remove some risks associated with electrical works.”

The partnership officially rolled out on 1 May and is being used across Pensar’s works on the SEQ Water Electrical Upgrade at Molendinar and will then be integrated into further projects for Brisbane City Council and Gold Coast City Council.

QMCA CEO, Jon Davies, praised the partnership “As an industry association, we are committed to fostering collaboration within the construction sector and our membership. The partnership between Pensar and QuickSafety is a fantastic example of the power of connecting with your professional network and working in partnership to build beneficial business relationships.”
