As we countdown to the QMCA Innovation and Excellence Awards, we caught up with long-term QMCA partner Anne Kemp of Cbus to learn a little bit more about why the awards are important to Cbus and our industry.
“We’re proud to support the QMCA Awards,” said Anne. “We’re future-focused and celebrate innovation and excellence in our sector, and the Awards showcase the outstanding work that QMCA members, partners, and suppliers undertake in Queensland.”
“Awards events are very important to the industry as they recognise those who have demonstrated excellence in their field, and they also showcase all the wonderful projects across the state.”
With the superfund supporting the annual Project of the Year Award, Anne believes there is a strong link between the fund and project excellence.
“As one of Australia’s leading industry funds, we invest in projects and businesses that are important to our members, supporting industries and communities. Cbus is helping to build Queensland through investing in property and infrastructure, which in turn creates jobs in the state.”
“One of our core values is placing our members at the centre of all we do, working hard to support their financial wellbeing during their working lives and into retirement, as well as celebrating excellence in the industry. We advocate for the industries in which our members work and partner with stakeholders such as QMCA to ensure that these industries are strong and viable for workers and employers.”
With the awards a little under a week away, Anne is looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the people and projects creating vital infrastructure to support the state’s long-term growth.
“I am really excited to join the industry for its annual celebration. As a judge for two of the award categories, I was privileged to hear firsthand from the accomplished nominees about their innovative approaches to problem-solving.”
“It is always inspiring to see the industry’s best and brightest recognised for their contributions, and I am eager to celebrate their achievements.”
